A few weeks ago, the kids spent two nights in a row at Grandma G’s house. We’ve been pretty good about keeping up with our monthly date nights, and over the last two years, I’ve never spent one minute of a date night thinking or worrying about the kids. In fact, I’ve never missed them. Until the two-night stay at Grandma G’s. For the first time, I actually missed them.
As you may know, I’ve done a lot of reading about adoption and I’ve learned quite a bit about children with attachment disorders. But now, I’m starting to realize that I may have my own attachment challenges. Thankfully, now I have proof that I’m starting to overcome these deficiencies.
